About Us
Hybrid Publishing Producers Co-operative Ltd. was founded in 2001 to bring together independent editors, designers, graphic artists, marketers and others to co-operatively produce and distribute books relevant to Canadians.
Their initial project was a new edition of Make This Your Canada, a Canadian classic that had been
out of print for far too long.
In 2003 they launched the first-ever publication of drama in the Cree language, Asamikáwin, a translation of the play fareWel by Ian Ross.
In 2009, three of the founding members of the co-operative left Manitoba for parts east and west, significantly slowing down the production schedule.
